Every student seen, every family heard.
Hi, I’m Nicolia!
My son and I moved to Chelsea 3.5 years ago because I wanted a safe, welcoming, and active community. As a currently appointed trustee of the Chelsea School District Board of Education, I’ve spent the past 13 months deeply involved in the Board’s day‑to‑day responsibilities while consistently advocating for our students. As a local parent, I view our district through my child’s experiences, giving me a clear and authentic understanding of what is functioning effectively and where meaningful improvement is needed.
My professional background as a director of project management equips me with essential expertise in SOP development, multi‑million‑dollar budget administration, process improvement and efficiencies—all fundamental responsibilities of an effective school board member. I also bring an academic foundation in Secondary Education, which strengthens my insight into classroom needs, instructional priorities, and the supports that educators rely on to help students succeed.
I believe our district’s policies must be consistently upheld, and intentionally designed to support all students, while remaining relevant. I am committed to continuing this work with transparency, collaboration, and a clear focus on what matters most—our students.
Why I’m running
I believe every student and family deserves to be seen, heard, and valued, so I advocate for policies that reflect the diverse identities and experiences within our district. I support culturally responsive practices and work to ensure representation in decision‑making spaces. Inclusion is equally important to me. I push for systems that are accessible and welcoming to all families, elevate voices that are often overlooked, and promote environments where every student feels they belong and can thrive. These values guide my leadership and my commitment to honoring every child’s potential.
This election is my opportunity to continue that work, with your support and a clear mandate from the community I'm proud to serve and be a part of.
I believe every child in Chelsea deserves a school system that truly sees them.
Creating a school district that works for every child.

Every student in Chelsea deserves policies and a classroom that supports and reflects who they are. I advocate for culturally responsive practices and decision-making that ensures no family feels overlooked. When our district is designed with all students in mind, every child has a better chance to reach their full potential.

Good governance means making decisions in the open, with accountability and a clear focus on student outcomes. My professional background in process improvement and budget oversight helps me ask the right questions at the board table. Families deserve to know how decisions are made — and to trust that students always come first.

Schools thrive when families are partners, not bystanders. I actively work to elevate voices that are often left out of the conversation — from board liaisons to parent volunteers to community members who want to be heard. When we strengthen the connection between the district and the families it serves, our students feel it.
